I recieved multiple e-mails since my last message on this site. Most e-mails where about Dune 2 - The Maker, worried if its progress is stopped, or simply dead...
I can be clear about this; it is NOT dead. But why is there so little 'noise' around this project then?
Basicly i have a simple reason for this; i have a Macbook, and sold my PC. You might say i am nuts, but its all about personal preference. I got 'the' Macbook, yes Intel based 13 inch white. Its a charm , works perfectly and its fast.
So , how can D2TM not be dead, while i use a mac... Simply because the intel based Macs are able to run Windows. I already tried this, but it did not turn out as i hoped. It works , but its a lot of hassle. I might try it again. In the meantime i also am very interested in Parallels, which will be able to run Windows as a virtual pc at almost native speed. The problem is : money.. i can't buy it (yet).
When i get WIndows running, i can get MSVC installed and all stuff. Ow, btw, i do have still a desktop computer to run D2TM on... ;) Almost scared you did i? :P
Now i have a mac, i will also try to get it working for the mac as well ofcourse. So who knows, d2tm on mac and windows? Would be very nice.
If you want to speed up the progress buy me Parallels ;)
